Mindfulness and Meditation
Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment with acceptance. By acceptance we mean practicing seeing things clearly as they are. It is a way of learning to relate consciously and compassionately to the challenges and demands of everyday life.
What to exect from mindfulness and meditation
People come to the program seeking relief from family, work and financial stress, sleep disturbances, anxiety, headaches, fatigue, chronic pain and illness. Others choose to participate because they want a better way to cope with the hectic pace of their lives.
Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment with acceptance. By acceptance we mean practicing seeing things clearly as they are. It is a way of learning to relate consciously and compassionately to the challenges and demands of everyday life. Although, there is a growing body of evidence to support its benefits, participation in the program is not an easy undertaking.
